Working with Dave Johnson simplified the entire home buying/building process and made it fun!  He was involved every step of the way and always kept me up to date.   Buying/building a home is a HUGE undertaking and I was so happy that Dave was there to guide me through it!

Dave Johnson is the best realtor that Mark and myself have ever had in our many years of using realtor services.  Dave has always gone out of his way to make sure that our needs have been met and exceeded both in buying and selling homes for us. Most realtors that we had dealt with before made it pretty obvious that they were merely there to sell a house and make their commission. Not so with Dave!  He has helped us to rearrange furniture, to make the house more staged to potential buyers liking, he has even cleaned up for a showing when we were on vacation.  There is nothing that is within his power that Dave won’t do to make your buying or selling experience the best experience you will ever have.  Dave has helped us to sell 2 homes and to purchase 1 home and would have helped with the last purchase we made if it were in his state. There is no one that we would trust more than Dave to make sure our needs were met in the real estate market.

Scary, confusion, daunting, stressful..these are some the words that come to mind associated with shopping for and buying a home, especially for a first-timer.  My wife and I were in the market in 2011 and we were lucky enough to run into Dave at an open-house in Castleton.  From the beginning, Dave's disposition, friendliness and humor made the experience enjoyable.  He's honest, thoughtful and genuinely wants the best for his customers.  He even knows our son's favorite superhero! We would work with Dave again or recommend him to anyone in the market..the experience will be 1st class...

Dave was instrumental in getting my house in Castleton sold which allowed me to move to Butler-Tarkington. The market was pretty saturated in Castleton so great pictures, marketing and a realistic price was essential.  Dave made sure all that was in place and I was very pleased with the sales price.  Butler-Tarkington on the other hand,  is was not an inventory rich market and I had very specific criteria - of course!  When we finally found the "diamond in the rough" house I wanted to buy the transaction was anything but smooth!  There were challenges with every party to the sale (except Dave).  He helped me navigate through one issue after another always remaining professional, positive, yet firm with the sellers to protect my interests.  In the end I purchased a wonderful house in a fantastic area. Thanks to his expert help in price negotiations (both on my home I sold and the one I bought) I had money to turn my house into the diamond I knew it could be!
 
Selling your first home and buying in a competitive market is a very stressful and emotional experience. However with Dave's help I was also able to enjoy the excitement and stay positively focused on the goal.  I have been in my Butler-Tarkington home for more than two years and I still recommend Dave to everyone I know.

Can we say say we love Dave?!  He is a friend before anything else and as a dog lover he has spent quality time with our very timid mastiff.  This, however, is a story about our journey finding a home, our home.  Dave first took us to dinner to find out what we wanted and where we wanted to be.  Because of our work schedules, he met us on Saturday mornings to show us homes; and we drove all over Indy!  Then, one day he showed us the house we would buy and call our own!  Dave was super relaxed during this process and open to just driving around and looking at different homes, and that was comforting for Sean and I; as we were first time home buyers.  We didn't have Thane, our gentle giant, when we bought the house; but he loves the huge fenced yard!  We have enjoyed many parties with friends on our back patio with food on the grill and brews all around.  So Dave, when we move again (no time soon); we'll call ya!!  Thank you for everything!
