Two nature areas are located in Elberfeld. Blue Grass Fish and Wildlife Area is a unique natural resource area because all of the land has been stripmined. It features about 28 pits and lakes and is dedicated to providing and maintaining quality hunting, fishing, and wildlife-watching opportunities. Lost Hill Wetland Conservation Area is a fun place to go for a hike or for relaxing in the shade on a sunny day and enjoying nature. Interlake State Recreation Area is a former coal mine land straddling Pike and Warrick Counties that is now open as a multi-use recreational facility. From steep, rugged banks to rolling hilly grasslands, man-made lakes, and final cut strip pits, Interlake is a diverse array of topography and scenic views.

Several historical resources are found in the Elberfeld area. Henager’s “Memories and Nostalgia” Museum features many items from American culture through the decades from Western movie stars to automotive heritage. The Warrick County Museum collects and preserves the heritage of the county. The museum is located in the old Ella Williams School that was constructed in 1901. There are two industrial parks in Warrick County, each of which include numerous companies both large and small. Students in Warrick County are afforded opportunities which are generated by a sound "Basic Skills" curriculum, supported by a variety of courses which fulfill the needs and interests of students, and it’s enhanced by a diverse program of extra- and co-curricular activities.
