Mechelle Brandenburg

Growing up in a small town in Kentucky, Mechelle Brandenburg remembers vividly the day her parents bought their first house. She was 15.  Her parents worked overtime (her dad was a factory worker and her mom worked 2 jobs to make ends meet). They scrimped and saved for a downpayment, and even though they were in their 40s, they never gave up on their dream of owning their first home.

Brandenburg remembers well the day they got the keys. The house wasn’t big or fancy, but it was theirs.

Homeownership still is the American Dream.

“My girls (Emily, 20; Kelly, 18, and Caroline 14) already talk about the kind of house they want,” Brandenburg said. “They understand what it means to be able not to just have a roof over your head, but a place that’s yours, where you can paint the walls pink and purple if you want to (Caroline’s dream, not mine.).”

Brandenburg joined the Laura Musall Homes real estate team at FC Tucker to help others experience the joys of homeownership. Her background as a natural-born people person, combined with her knowledge of the community and the market makes her a perfect advisor to help families make one of their most important investments of their lives.

She is patient – not many people can pull off years of PTO fund-raising and still be smiling at the end of the event – and she’s not afraid to ask questions. Be warned, she’ll ask you plenty, because her goal is to help you achieve your goals, whether you’re buying your first house or selling your last house.

For Brandenburg, it’s personal, because she wants others to experience the joy and security of owning a home.

Personal

This Kentucky native moved to Fishers in 2006. Brandenburg married her best friend and soulmate Cha Provost in an outdoor ceremony on one of the hottest days of the year in 2022, and is the mom of three teenage girls and now two dogs (Papi -- aka knuckle biter -- and Jose).

Mind your money

Brandenburg is a whiz at saving money, clipping coupons and finding deals. So, perhaps it’s not surprising she spent a couple years working for a wealth-management company, where she picked up some great tips on investing, such as real estate is a great investment.

Outside of home

Brandenburg loves to travel, but her very favorite place to be is curled up with a good book, hosting friends or just enjoying solitude on the screened-in porch at home.
