Brownsburg Area Homes
Brownsburg is ten miles from metropolitan Indianapolis. I-74 crosses the northern part of Brownsburg before entering Indianapolis. I-65 passes about two miles northeast of the community, and I-70 about ten miles to the south. State Road 267 (Green Street) runs north and south through the middle of Brownsburg. US-136 (Main Street) runs east and west along the southern half of the town.

More than 200 vendors sell everything from quilts to homemade soap at the festival. Hauntsburg is another annual event. Brownsburg Community School Corporation serves the Brownsburg area with an early childhood center, six elementary schools, two middle schools, a high school, and a small mastery-based high school. All BCSC schools receive “A”s from the Indiana Department of Education on a regular basis. Brownsburg’s ISTEP+ achievement level ranks 6th highest out of 291 Indiana school districts. The corporation’s motto is “Higher Achievement - Together,” and it shows.
Elementary and middle school students focus on English and math. The use of mini-lessons in English strengthens students’ comprehension, vocabulary, and writing skills. An EveryDay math program provides a balance between arithmetic calculations and mathematical concepts.
Brownsburg High School provides a great education to students with a wide array of talents. Students can enroll in advanced placement classes, earn college credits with dual credit partnerships sponsored by several colleges, take courses in the biomedical field, or participate in a STEM program to prepare for a career in engineering. The Fine Arts Department and Drama Department helps creative students develop their talents. The high school seeks to prepare all students for further education or career opportunities. Those who go to college can choose to attend one of nine universities that are within commuting distance including Purdue University and Indiana University–Purdue University at Indianapolis.
