Greenfield-Central is a public school district in Hancock County, Indiana. Weston Elementary School

Weston Elementary has the honor of being a Four-Star School as well as receiving an A rating by the Indiana Department of Education. This K-3 school aims at pushing students to reach their full potential while actively engaging students in reading and math skills.

J.B. Stephens Elementary School

Teachers at J.B. Stephens Elementary are dedicated to their students’ academic success by acknowledging their students’ individuality and working from there. Differentiating their instruction and staying abreast of new instructional aids help solidify literacy and math readiness levels for all of their students.

Harris Elementary School

A Four-Star School, Harris Elementary teachers not only on their students’ core education, but they also a caring and nurturing environment as well.  There are plenty of activities throughout the year, such as raising money for United Way, book fairs, and YMCA Family Nights to bring parents, students, and teachers together.

Eden Elementary School

Eden Elementary School is one of four elementary schools within the Greenfield-Central Community School District serving as the early educational institution for families of Greenfield from Kindergarten to Grade 3. The elementary school has an ‘A’ state rating and a four-star rating from the community.

Maxwell Intermediate School

Offering a small, focused community for students from Grades 4-6, Maxwell Intermediate School presents students with a diverse and engaging curriculum as well as many extracurricular activities.  Athletics are a focus at the school, and the program offers many different team sports to its students, as well as a Cougar Athletic Booster’s club for support towards the athletics department.  Maxwell Intermediate School is located in Maxwell, about five miles north of Greenfield.

Greenfield Intermediate School

Also offering education for students in Grades 4-6, Greenfield Intermediate School is another option for students of Greenfield. This school offers leading technology and resources to support its curriculum.  With students at the forefront of the school’s latest improvements, Greenfield Intermediate School has become one of the favorites amongst the community, with a five-star community rating.

Greenfield Central Junior High School

Greenfield Central Junior High School is a new educational institution within the Greenfield-Central Community School District for Grade 7-8 students. Offering a curriculum that includes the ability for students to explore career interests and personal goals, Greenfield Central Junior High School continues to engage its students in its well-rounded studies.

Greenfield-Central High School

As an award-winning high school, Grades 9-12 students at Greenfield Central High School are presented with challenging and engaging coursework. Students are given the opportunity to complete college credit courses and pursue interests in more advanced studies like pre-engineering, biomedical science, and finance.

The school is known for being technologically advanced, with its own radio and television studio and is also known for offering a strong athletics department. As a Hoosier Heritage Conference participant, the Greenfield-Central High School Cougars can participate in sports like cross country, tennis, football, golf, volleyball, basketball, cheerleading, swimming, wrestling, baseball, and more. Greenfield-Central High School has won several state title championships with its most recent winning in 2012 for wrestling.
