West Lafayette Area Homes
West Lafayette has a long and rich history. It is near the site of the famed Battle of Tippecanoe. Several different communities in the area merged in 1888 to form the city that exists today. As a result many types of homes have been built over many different periods in a number of styles. This variety means you can find something to meet your tastes and preferences.

The most common occupations are for post-secondary teachers, management, computer specialists, retail sales workers, waiters and waitresses, other teachers and instructors.
Schools
The West Lafayette Community School Corporation runs three schools. Students go to Cumberland Elementary school from K–3rd Grade, then continuing on at Happy Hollow Elementary School from Grades 4–6, and West Lafayette Junior-Senior High School from Grades 7–12.
Pleasantview SDA School is run by the Seventh Day Adventists Church and covers students in Grades K–8. The Montessori School of Greater Lafayette teaches students from K–6. The West Lafayette Community School Corporation does not serve areas that were added to the city in 2000. These are served by county schools.
